Quirky, uncompromising but ultimately sympathetic take on the life of a male escort
Eddie isn't your typical comic book hero. Sure, he has a double life,
but he's struggling to save himself let alone the rest of the world.
By night... and day... he's working like a dog, and in between he's
trying to manage a new romance with an old friend. But things have
changed since they last saw each other at art school two years ago.
What started as a mild flirtation in the gym has transformed Eddie
into a sexually adventurous and morally liberated male escort living
in a world of sex, drugs and unrequited love.
It's not exactly first date talk.
The Lengths is a new comic from former Brentford resident artist and writer Howard
Hardiman. Drawn from extensive interviews with real sex-workers in the
city, The Lengths is a quirky, uncompromising but ultimately
sympathetic take on the oldest profession in the world. You thought
being a male escort is a dog's life? Think again.
The Lengths is available in comics shops across the UK and available
from http://www.thelengths.com with new issues released every two
months commencing May 18th 2011. Howard can also be followed on twitter @cutebutsad and will be appearing at the London Movies Comics and Magazines Expo at
the ExCel Centre from the 26th to the 28th of May
May 12, 2011
