The Griffin is announcing its Christmas menu, available from 11th November to 30th December (excluding matchdays and Christmas Day).

The fabulous food at The Griffin is the work of former Waldorf Astoria Chef, Gerhard. A cut above your standard pub grub, dishes are cooked to order using fresh, high-quality cuts of meat. Parties of up to 50 can be catered for in the private room upstairs.

Starters
Chicken Liver Pãté, served with red onion chutney and crusty bread
Smoked Salmon, served with fennel salad and pickled lemons
Roast Parsnip and Apple Soup, served with crusty bread
Somerset Brie and Beetroot Tart, served with watercress salad

Mains
Roast Norfolk Bronze Turkey, served with duck fat roasted potatoes, pigs in blankets, cranberry stuffing, carrots, Brussels sprouts & turkey gravy
Pan-fried Shetland Salmon, served with saffron mash and pak choi
Crispy Duck Confit, crispy duck leg confit served with red cabbage, fondant potatoes and red wine jus
Mushroom, Spinach and Cranberry Wellington, wild mushroom and baby spinach wrapped in puff pastry served with a selection of winter vegetables

Sweets
Chocolate Yule Log, chocolate sponge roll glazed with chocolate fudge served with brandy whipped cream
Christmas Pudding, with whiskey sauce
Selection of Cheeses, served with crackers, grapes and red onion chutney
