Grant deadline this week

Grants are available to schools and local community groups for local community projects that focus on protecting/enhancing the environment and/or bringing communities together.

Grants of up to £2,500 are available for local projects with a total project cost of no more than £10,000.

The funding could be used for a number of different things including, but not limited to:

• An arts festival bringing community members together.
• A club to promote health and exercise.
• Developing better access to fair trade products.
• Buying play equipment.
• A healthy walk scheme or disabled access to a community facility.

Projects must be sustainable and open for all members of the community.

The closing date for applications is 23rd January 2015.
