Bees Utd Hustings for London Assembly Elections

Supporters of Brentford FC will be able to join local residents in questioning candidates for the forthcoming London Assembly Elections, which take place in the capital on Thursday 10 June.

Bees United, the Brentford Supporters' Trust, is organising a political hustings on Monday 24 May in the Club's Stripes Bar.

Assembly members are elected at the same time as the London Mayor and they have a responsibility to hold the Mayor to account and to investigate issues of concern to Londoners

Brentford is situated in the South West London Constituency, which incorporates the Boroughs of Hounslow, Richmond and Kingston-upon-Thames.

To date, all the declared candidates of the main political parties have agreed to participate in the Bees United hustings. Invitations will be extended to all the declared candidates when the final list is announced.

Each candidate will give a short address on their parties' policies, and they will be invited to pay particular emphasis to their policies on sport, leisure and recreation in the area. The second half of the meeting will be a "Question Time" session to all the candidates.

The meeting will commence at 7.30pm and will be serving light refreshments only.
