Students and staff at Brentford School for Girls are celebrating another fantastic set of results.

70 % of our students achieved five or more A*-C grades including English Language and Mathematics, with 79% gaining five or more GCSEs in total. These results compare favourably with the national picture.

The results are a testament to the hard work, determination and effort that our students have put in to their studies over the last two years, along with the support provided by their teachers, parents and carers.

We are incredibly proud of our girls, whose achievements stand them in good stead for the next step of their education and we wish them well with their sixth form studies.

Outstanding individual results included the following students:

Nargis Ayobi - 10 A* 1A

Zara-Maryam Qureshi - 10 A* 1A

Jessica O’Logbon - 10 A*

Soumya Lakehal - 6 A* 5A

Amiaama Awan - 6 A* 4A

Zaynab Hammad - 4 A* 7A

Rukia Aidid - 4 A* 6A

I am looking forward very much to starting sixth form life at Brentford. I will be studying Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Psychology in order to pursue my ambition of studying Medicine at university.”

Zara-Maryam Qureshi said of her results, “I am relieved that my hard work has paid off and I would like to thank my teachers for supporting me throughout my GCSEs.”

Marais Leenders, Headteacher, has congratulated the girls on their achievements, saying, “We are delighted once again this year to have has such enormous success at GCSE. We have retained great strength in our EBac subjects which is incredibly encouraging. Our levels of progress for both English and Maths are fantastic!”
