Based on the true story of a woman and her three young children, The Bundle follows Adilah’s abuse and denial of human rights in Chechnya. Escaping her forced marriage she arrives in the UK, where she has to face the Home Office’s ‘hostile environment’ with regard to asylum seekers and refugees. The play moves from folk story to biting satire as it charts Adilah’s bid for freedom, safety and hope.

Running time approximately 65 minutes.

Saturday 18th November at 7pm
Sunday 19th November at 2pm

You are welcome to stay for tea and coffee after the show.

Refugees Welcome Hounslow is an initiative of Hounslow Friends of Faith, although operating independently. It works to welcome, and then support and befriend Syrian refugee families settled in the borough of Hounslow as part of the Government’s Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme and where possible support other refugees too.

The Bundle was commissioned by QARN (Quaker Asylum Seeker and Refugee Network) and is performed by Journeymen Theatre Company www.journeymentheatre.com

As local faith groups and others are working together on the issue of asylum, Hounslow Friends of Faith is pleased to promote this event as part of Interfaith Week 2017.
