Griffin Park one of safest grounds in country

New Home Office figures reveal low level of arrests at Brentford FC's ground.

There was good news for Brentford FC today as new Home Office figures revealed that they were near the bottom of the table - for arrests.

Only four arrests were made at Griffin Park last season. Nine Brentford fans were arrested at away games. By contrast, a total of 53 QPR fans were arrested last season.

The figures reveal a 19% increase in arrests for all grounds last season, with much of the trouble occuring at high-profile games. By contrast, 80% of all games in Division 2 saw just one or no arrests.

Club officials welcomed the figures. "With just four arrests at nearly 30 games, there's no doubt that Griffin Park is a great place to spend an afternoon" said club director John McGlashan .

"However we have a zero-tolerance policy here, and we'll continue working with police to ensure that Brentford remains trouble-free".
