A 59 year old woman was shot by youths using what police believe was an air weapon or BB gun.

She was driving along Brook Road South with her window open just after midday on Tuesday 8th August when she noticed two white youths on a pedal cycle. She slowed down and then she experienced a sharp pain to the side of her head. She then saw one of the youths holding a handgun and realised she had been shot by an air weapon or BB gun. The youths ran off and disappeared into Burford House.

The victim’s head was cut and bruised and she was conveyed to West Middlesex Hospital from where she was released after treatment. The suspects were described as about 12 years old, one wearing a black T-shirt, short dark brown hair, the second wearing a white T-shirt.
