A man has been taken to hospital after a shooting in Isleworth. He was discovered in a vehicle with gunshot wounds.

Police along with firearms specialists attended the scene at Holme Court, opposite Isleworth Leisure Centre.

The London Ambulance Service called police after 9pm on Wednesday night (14 November).

The victim was taken to a west London hospital where he is described as being in a stable condition.

At this stage there have been no arrests and a crime scene remains in place.

Officers from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.

Inspector Dee O’Brien, Sector Inspector for Hounslow from the West Area Borough Command Unit said, “A full investigation of this incident is underway and there will be increased patrols in the area over the next few days, including extra officers from the Mayor of London’s Violent Crime Task Force.”

Leader of Hounslow Council, Councillor Steve Curran said, "I was very disturbed to learn of the incident in Isleworth last night. This is a shocking event and not something we would expect to happen in Isleworth or indeed Hounslow. The council will be working closely with the Metropolitan Police Service to reassure residents and will be supporting the police to ensure that the perpetrators of this crime are brought to book.”
