Following the enactment of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010, LB Hounslow became a lead local flood authority. This gave Hounslow responsibilities for the management of flooding from surface water, groundwater and Ordinary Watercourses sources.

To support the development of the Flood Risk Management Strategy this public consultation seeks to identify how individuals, groups and business would like the council and its partner agencies to focus on local flood management activities.

The only flooding mentioned in Brentford is of river (fluvial) flooding from the River Brent, at The Ham, Dock Road and Ferry Lane and surface water and combined sewage flooding at Boston Manor Road, Boston Gardens, Manor Vale and Windmill Road.

There is a short questionnaire ( Microsoft Word, size 361kb) that also includes a section where you can make additional suggestions beyond those identified in the strategy that may be considered in future flood management activities.

Please email your completed questionnaire to: pollution@hounslow.gov.uk.

The consultation closing date is Wednesday 31 December 2014.
