The Local Plan will set out the council’s spatial vision for the development of the borough over the next 15 years, highlighting the key areas for regeneration and investment. It will include policies to guide development in the borough, and be used in the consideration of future planning applications

The Local Plan Proposed Submission document draws on the feedback received during previous consultations and the Local Plan’s evidence base.

The Proposed Submission draft includes the spatial vision for the borough to 2030, and includes the full set of policies that will be used to determine future planning applications.

The Local Plan is intended to be used alongside relevant national and regional planning policies and to focus on the important and distinctive local matters and characteristics to be considered in planning decisions in the London Borough of Hounslow. The Local Plan should be in general conformity with national and regional policies and has been prepared in anticipation of the important changes to be introduced in the Further Alterations to the London Plan which are currently also subject to public consultation.

In accordance with Regulation 18 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, we invite you to make representations on the soundness and legal compliance of the Proposed Submission draft during a six week consultation period running from Friday 7 March to 5pm Tuesday 22 April 2014.

The local plan can be downloaded from here.
