A proposal is being made for a major development on the B&Q site near Chiswick Roundabout.

Details of the scheme are not yet available but developers Reef Estate say they are planning an ‘employment-led’ mixed use development which will include a residential portion.

They are planning to call the development Hudson Square which will be the name of a public space at the centre of the scheme and will be surrounded by shops and restaurants which will support office, car showcase, hotel, student accommodation and flats.

A public exhibition of the plans are to be held at the Museum of Water and Steam on Green Dragon Lane in Brentford on 19 and 20 June from 4pm-8pm.

In late April senior council planning officers and Council Leader Steve Curran met with representatives from Reef Estates about development on the B&Q site.

The site is next to the plot on which it was planned to build the 32-storey Chiswick Curve before it was rejected by Hounslow Council planning officers. The developers have yet to respond to our request for more information about the scale and height of the Hudson Square project. The web site address given out by the developers is currently not working
