There appears to be a welcome return on the cards for a popular Ferry Quay restaurant .

The former premises of Pappadums on Soaphouse Lane now has new signage and preparations are being made to reopen.

The Indian restaurant was a Brentford favourite until it was forced to close during the pandemic. An attempted relaunch under new management as a fish bar and curry house did not endure very along and the site was repossessed this Spring since which time it has remained vacant.

In its previous incarnation, Pappadums had won awards and offered authentic dishes from the north and south of India.

We have attempted to contact Pappadums for an update on its plans. The previous management said that it was not involved with the relaunch and believe that it will initially open just as a bar and not serve Indian food.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
