Man flees fire on Penwerris Avenue

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a house fire on Penwerris Avenue in Osterley last night (1th April). Part of the loft conversion was damaged by fire.

Firefighter John Richardson, who was at the scene said: “The initial crews did a very good job of containing the fire and stopping it from spreading to downstairs or neighbouring properties. A man had left the building before we arrived and thankfully was uninjured.”

The Brigade was called at just before eight 'clock and the fire was under controltwo hours later.. Fire crews from Ealing, Heston and Southall fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
