Police in Brentford have issued a warning that they plan to take action against drivers parking on zig zag lines outside a Brentford primary school.

The move comes after parents complained and reported near misses due to bad driving and parking.

Police officers spoke to drivers parked in the restricted area this Thursday and Friday telling them not park on them as parking here blocks the view for pedestrians. Drivers cannot wait or stop momentarily to drop off or pick up passengers. The drivers were warned that in future PCNs would be issued. Most of the drivers spoken to were parents at the school and they confirmed that they would adhere to the rules in future.

Hounslow Council have been informed and parking attendants will now be patrolling these areas during school drop off and pick up times.

Parents and children were very happy that Police were making the roads safer for them and their children to cross and police say that they will continue to monitor this area.

If you are having traffic issues at your child's school in Hounslow Borough please call Hounslow Council on 020 8583 5453 and make them aware.
