A man from Isleworth has been charged with murdering Sahil Roy last Sunday (10 April).

22-year-old Azeem Issa, who lives in Haweswater House on the Ivybridge Estate is due to appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 13 April.

A post mortem has given the cause of death as a stab wound to the throat and the Evening Standard reported a resident saying that Mr Roy had his throat slit. They quote neighbours as saying the stabbing was the result of a petty dispute over a small amount of money.

Emergency services were called to Summerwood Road on the Ivybridge Estate at around 4pm last Sunday. They found a man suffering knife wounds but, despite the efforts of paramedics and the arrival of an Air Ambulance Mr Roy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Over twenty police officers in riot gear and with police dogs were seen going into Haweswater House.

Summerwood Road was shut at the junction of Mogden Lane at the time of the incident.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating.
