An armed robber has got away with thousands of pounds after threatening a security guard with a knife at a local petrol station.

The incident happened on Friday 15th February at 12.20pm at the Texaco fuel station on the Great West Road.

The security van had just arrived to make a delivery. A man approached one of the guards on the van and threatened him with a knife. The guard handed over a cash box containing thousands of pounds. The man then made off in a red vehicle which has yet to be traced.

The robber is described as a white male aged around 35, 5’6”, wearing a black coat, green scarf, blue jeans, white trainers with short hair and stocky build.
