Brentford Voice would like to express their thanks to all those who signed the petition for the return of a Post Office to Brentford.

"Collectively on paper and online over 3000 of you demonstrated the importance a Post Office plays as a vital role at the heart of our community.

"The current status of this situation is that Costcutter in the High Street have been reviewed by the Post Office and in principle they have been identified as a site to house the new Post Office. They are awaiting final confirmation which they should know within the next few weeks.

"It was heartening to see so many of you turning out and showing your support as to how much you care about Brentford, particularly so as we’re currently undergoing such huge change. Your enthusiasm is testimony to supporting the development of a fully functioning High Street that works to serve the needs of our community.

"It’s vitally important you voice your concerns if this is to happen, this you did and you showed you are a strong caring community of ‘People who do something’.

"Well done Brentford! "

Costcutters are already looking for candidates for the role of the post office clerk. If you are interested email your CV to costcutter.56@gmail.com
