The first week of December will see a number of events taking place in Brentford’s Market Place to get Brentford’s Christmas well and truly underway:

Thursday 5 December: Christmas Lights Switch On
A 15 foot Christmas tree – a gift of Ballymore, will be installed in the Market Place on the square directly in front of Verdict. At 6.00 pm the tree lights, together with the High Street lamp post decoration lights, will be switched on by the Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Tony Louki.

Before and after the switch-on there will be Christmas music performed by local choir the ‘Mad about Gospel’ singers.

Friday 8 December: St Nicholas Day
a traditional day for children in many parts of Europe, come down and enjoy the tree and lights.

Saturday 7 December: Carol Singing
At 5.00pm Community carol singing around the tree will be led by the Hounslow Community Brass Band playing all your favourite carols so come along and join in!

Sunday 8 December: Sunday Market
from 10 am to 2 pm it’s the regular SUNDAY Market, do pop along and start storing up on treats for the festive season.

Monday 16 December: Carols in the Park
Carols in the Park will be back in St Paul's Recreation Ground between 6.30-7.30pm.
This year will bring Bethlehem animals from Miller's Ark, beautiful carols from Hounslow Community Brass Band and a local choir or three.
Festive refreshments will be served throughout and we are delighted that this event is completely free to attend due to the generous sponsorship of Ballymore, LB Hounslow and Inspire Hounslow.
Do come and bring your family, friends and tell all your neighbours!
