The partnership between Brentford Football Club and the University of West London has been strengthened further with a new arrangement that will see the university featured prominently during The Bees’ FA Cup ties. UWL have been a long-standing supporter of Brentford FC as our official University Partner and signed up to be a Platinum Partner at the start of last season. Their logo appears on the top tier of the Brook Road stand at Griffin Park and on the back of First Team and B Team shirts and shorts as well on the Club’s LED perimeter advertising. And that seven-year relationship has been expanded as 2019 dawns.

UWL have signed a deal to be Brentford’s official Emirates FA Cup Shirt Sleeve Sponsor for the 2018/19 season. Their logo will appear on the left sleeve of all shirts when The Bees face Oxford United in the Third Round on Saturday, 5 January, and on all FA Cup games this season. This is an addition to their ongoing three-year Platinum Partner relationship with the Club.

Professor Anthony Woodman, UWL Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said: “In recent years we have demonstrated our ability to deliver success against perceived better competition for example becoming a top 50 UK University and being shortlisted for University of the Year. So, as sponsors, we hope that some of this success rubs off on The Bees in this year’s FA Cup. Our sponsorship also reflects the close working partnership we have with Brentford FC that helps us to provide opportunity for our students and give a little back to our local community.”

Mike Sullivan, Brentford’s Commercial Manager, said: “Once again the University of West London have shown their great support for the Club by wearing their hearts on our sleeve during the upcoming Emirates FA Cup Competition. As our official University Partner, they have been great supporters of the Club over the past seven years and are always open to getting behind any new and unique initiatives such as this. We would, once again like to thank them for their brilliant support and our fingers are crossed for a long and exciting FA Cup run this season.”
