New discussion group holds first meeting in Magpie and Crown
Brentford Recycling Action Group (BRAG) invites you to. HOUNSLOW GREEN DRINKS First Tuesday of every month Are you concerned
about climate change? Wondering how we can recycle more rubbish? Thinking
it would be good to buy more locally produced food? Or would you just
like to meet others trying to make our borough a greener Green Drinks is an international movement of people who are green and who like to drink (water if you don't like anything stronger!). To put it simply, everyone is welcome, however green they are and whatever they like to drink. Green drinkers come from all walks of life, which makes the evening all the more interesting and fulfilling. It's an informal gathering of like-minded folk who get together once a month to chat, laugh, discuss, analyse, debate, network and connect. These events are very simple and unstructured, but many people have found employment, made friends, developed new ideas and had moments of serendipity. It's amazing what you can learn and who you meet at Green Drinks. It's a force for the good - come and feel it. The Magpie
& Crown is best known for its excellent and frequently changing selection
of real ale. Five minutes walk from Brentford railway station, it is on
the 235, E2, E8, 237 and 267 bus routes (or H91 if coming via the Great
