An official start has been made on work on the waterside development near Brentford High Street.

To mark construction beginning on site at the development, the Leader of Hounslow Council, Cllr Steve Curran attended a ground-breaking event with developers, Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd. The milestone event was also attended by Syon Ward Councillor and Cabinet Member for Communities and Climate Emergency, Councillor Katherine Dunne.

This phase of the Brentford Waterside scheme is part of a £42million contract given to the construction firm by the council. Dubbed at this stage ‘block D’ the development consists of three blocks that range in height from six to eight storeys connected by a ground-floor podium. It will includes 96 affordable homes as well as commercial space on the ground floor. Completion is expected by Summer 2023.

This development is one phase of the regeneration of Brentford High Street which covers over 11 acres. Overall, the Ballymore development will deliver up to 800 flats, as well as retail and office space.
