Fans of the first Mads & Lyndsey Brentford based murder mystery, Must Flea, have had to wait patiently for the follow up to be published. At last, the wait is over and the sequel, Blood Read, is available.

The story follows the adventures of two twenty-something women (affectionately dubbed beer-tectives by fans due to their love of real ale and local pubs) as they try to solve murders they inadvertently find themselves mixed up in.

Although the books form a series, they can also be enjoyed individually without having read earlier instalments. In Blood Read, Lyndsey has a temp job at a local university library where someone is threatening the library managers. Meanwhile, Mads is investigating the shady world of Lyndsey’s ex-boyfriend. Will they live to tell the tale?

As with his first book, DS Floyd will be making personal appearances in some of the pubs frequented by Mads and Lyndsey to meet fans and sign books. He visited the Express Tavern last Friday and will be at The Griffin this Friday, 25th October, 6pm-10pm. More dates will be confirmed.

If you cannot make the pub signings, a few signed copies are also available from the wonderful Pitshanger Bookshop in Pitshanger Lane, Ealing and unsigned copies are available from Amazon for those who prefer to buy online.
