A man riding an e-scooter has been taken to a major trauma centre after being hit by a van in Brentford this Tuesday afternoon (6 October).

He is understood to have suffered a leg injury His injuries have been assessed as non life-threatening or life-changing.

An air ambulance was called to the scene and landed on Clayponds Gardens.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, "We were called at 3.08pm today (6 October) to reports of a person injured in a collision with a van on Chestnut Avenue.

"We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a car and our hazardous area response team. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance. The first of our medics were at the scene in under four minutes."

Last month an e-scooter rider was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision on Chiswick High Road.

There was a substantial build-up of traffic on the South Ealing Road at the time of the incident.
