Joshua Steer is currently completing his MSc in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham.

As part of his course he is researching for his thesis the community consultation process that went into the planning application for Brentford Community Stadium or the Lionel Road development,.

He has produced a short survey and would be grateful if you could complete it in five minutes or less! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/YDQ83LJ

Joshua pleads "I found out during my undergraduate research that you can never predict how many responses you will receive from an online questionnaire, therefore all I can do is plead with you as the local community to find just 5 minutes to complete the questionnaire, giving me enough time to collect and analyse the data before writing up".

So if you think the consultation process was great you can say so. If you didn't notice there was any then it's an opportunity to get your voice heard.

Joshua has been looking at Olympic legacy and the impact on communities in Stratford and sees this as a natural way to follow through this work. He will feed his results back to us so that we can see the analysis of the responses received. He says "I view community engagement as a vital part of the planning process and believe it should be undertaken to great length in order to make any development a sustainable part of a community’s future."

The survey will be open until 27th July.
